‘SUNRISE MISSION’
The National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) selected a new mission-SunRISE on March 30, 2020 to study how the Sun creates and releases giant solar particle storms.
The Sun Radio Interferometer Space Experiment (SunRISE) mission also aims to help scientists understand the workings of the Solar System. It will also help protect astronauts going to the Moon and Mars in the future from the solar storms. The mission is expected to be launched on July 1, 2023.
Objectives :
1] The SunRISE mission will provide critical information on how the Sun’s radiation affects the space environment.
2] This will protect the astronauts flying in future Moon or Mars missions.
3] It will also study a part of the sun’s spectrum that can’t be seen on earth due to the ionosphere.
4] It will also help provide information that other solar probes- Parker Solar Probe, Solar Orbiter, and the ground-based Daniel K. Inouye Solar Telescope couldn’t get.
Significance :
The more information there is about the Sun and how it impacts space weather events, the easier it would be to reduce its effects on the astronauts and spacecraft. The mission is to deploy six CubeSats in Geosynchronous-orbit. The mission has come true because of the success of DARPA High-Frequency Research and Mars Cube One(MARCO).
Great post. I was checking constantly this weblog and I’m inspired!
Extremely useful information particularly the closing part :
) I deal with such information a lot. I was looking for this particular information for a
very long time. Thank you and good luck.
